ТРЕХМЕРНЫЕ СОЛИТОНЫ И ПОВЕРХНОСТНАЯ ТУРБУЛЕНТНОСТЬ В СТЕКАЮЩИХ ПЛЕНКАХ ЖИДКОСТИ

Evolution of natural disturbances in falling films undergoes several changing each other regimes. At sufficiently large Reynolds numbers it eventually reaches the last stage when the surface is randomly covered by three-dimensional (3-D) nonlinear structures which are stable and robust and interact with each other as “quasi-particles”, 3-D solutions or “hors-shoe waves”. Such stage is often called “surface turbulence” (ST) or “solution-gas” and it occurs when Reynolds numbers in liquid are small for Tollmien-Schlichting instability (TSI) and usual turbulence. In this work for the first time such 3-D solutions are found theoretically. Result of theory are compared with specially made experiments. Taking into account obvious likeness between “horse-shoe waves” and localized structures in ordinary turbulence, -vortisies, we hoop thet our “simple” case will help elucidate also some features of usual turbulence.
